Postby Canada Gun Club » Wed Apr 05, 2017 5:48 pm

DurhamRegion.com:
AJAX — An overflowing crowd jammed in the council chambers to support a proposal to build a gun range in Ajax.
In fact, only one person raised concerns even though about 200 people turned out on Monday, Feb. 27 to hear about the plan.

Pyper Unitt, CEO Canadian Firearms Institute: Gun range shooting is one of the safest sports in all of Canada

Postby Canada Gun Club » Wed Apr 05, 2017 5:56 pm

Pyper Unitt, CEO Canadian Firearms Institute, op-ed response in DurhamRegion.com to anti-gun Ajax resident Colin Wallace.
"It is quite reasonable for someone who knows little about licensed firearms owners and the rules they must follow when transporting firearms to assume that a range in a highly populated area would present a risk — however, had Colin Wallace taken the time to look into the responsibilities assumed by licensed firearms owners — and the subsequent consequences to them for failing to comply — he would be a great deal less disturbed and as a result less likely to mislead the public."

Tony Specht of British Columbia writes the editor of DurhamRegion.com
"Colin Wallace of Ajax, and people like him, are the reason firearms are so misunderstood these days. I am only going to address his letter and the topics contained within."
